Although I have always enjoyed taking photos, photography has only become a serious interest of mine in the last couple of years. Landscape photography, equipped with just my phone, was the start of my journey. Whilst living in Adelaide in South Australia during the first half of 2019, I spent many evenings at one of the many local beaches attempting to get a perfect beach sunset photo. Over this time photography became more and more important for me as the time I dedicated to it grew.
As I travelled around many amazing places in the summer of 2019, getting a photo I loved from each location became my obsession. During this period I took a tour of Oahu with a professional photographer and after learning so much about the basics of shooting manually I wanted my photography to keep getting better. On a later part of my travels, and after being designated by my friends as ‘group photographer’ as we hiked into the Grand Canyon, I continued shooting landscapes alongside trying to learn how to edit.
After getting my first DSLR camera my next goal became to master long exposures. Through many cold days and shoots of varying degrees of success at Keele University, long exposure photography has become a technique I’m very comfortable with and enjoy using as often as possible.
Moving to Edinburgh has been another important part of my photography story. This city has been an amazing place to pursue my passion for night photography and long exposures and continue to create work that defines my style as a photographer.
If you like what you’ve seen and read and would like to work with me through my workshops or you have any inquires I’d love to hear from you!
